衆議院議員の定数削減法案をめぐり、衆議院議院運営委員会の理事会で、与党側は審議入りに向けて特別委員会に付託するよう重ねて求めたのに対し、野党側は企業・団体献金の取り扱いをめぐる法案の質疑が続いているとして折り合わず、引き続き、協議することになりました。
